Father Benedict Andersen, a native of Denver, holds a bachelor of philosophy degree from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome (2002) and a master of divinity degree from St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in New York (2005). After spending nearly a decade as a Benedictine monk in the Republic of Ireland, he was ordained to the diaconate on November 13, 2013, and to the priesthood on November 1, 2014. On July 12 and 13, 2025, he was received into the Orthodox Faith at Saint Spyridon by His Eminence, Metropolitan Constantine of Denver, and became a presbyter of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Father Benedict has several years of experience in liturgical book design and has published scholarly articles and reviews on liturgical, monastic, and scriptural topics. His true passion is the Psalter as interpreted and prayed by Christians through the ages.
