Helping the hungry in Cheyenne

Youth Outreach
November 12, 2022

- Fr. R. Joseph Collins -

The Holy Apostles youth group started a several week process of helping people in our community. The first task was to determine needs in our community and what our group could accompish. It was decided that providing sack lunches to the homeless that frequented a local park was what they would undertake. Next came the planning of what supplies were needed and coordinating activities to complete the project. Along the way, everyone prayed for those they would be helping. On this chilly fall day, the group gathered to assemble the sack lunches, and traveled to the park to distribute them. Those who received the lunches were appreciative and grateful to our group for brightening their day. Our youth were happy they could help and are looking forward to their next project.
