‘The ox knows its owner
And the donkey its master’s crib,
But Israel does not know and
My people do not consider.’
Beloved in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
As we look upon the icon of the Nativity of the Lord and His mother and beholding the two animals whom Isaiah the Prophet mentions, we can easily understand that the celebration of the Christmas holidays at this present time witnesses to the fact that Almighty God Who humbled Himself in order to enter into His creation to restore humanity to its original purpose, has escaped the belief of many who profess the Christian faith. This reality is predominant among the younger generation, which reflects the indifference of mature adults who are responsible for their understanding of the celebration.
Even so, there is no reason for us to believe that God’s plan for the eternal salvation of His icons – His people – will ever cease to remain a constant reality and increasing in its promise because the war is over between good and evil which the glorious Cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ declares in all of its spiritual beauty.
Let us then celebrate with our deepest love for our loving God Who bent the heavens and came to His people to assure us of our eternal celebration in His coming kingdom.
May you always have a most blessed and glorious celebration in living your love for God at this time, as we celebrate His glorious entrance into this world as a humble infant for our eternal salvation.
A Blessed Christmas to You!
With Paternal Love,
+ Metropolitan ISAIAH of Denver
