Law Enforcement Chaplains from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, local Sheriff Offices and Police Departments from across Wyoming gathered and joined their peers from throughout Colorado and other members of the Rocky Mountain Police Chaplains Association for the completion of the Basic Chaplain Training course in Denver this past weekend.
Fields of study included, but are not limited to; Introduction to Law Enforcement Chaplaincy, Suicide in Law Enforcement, Ministry of Presence, Victim Advocacy & Victim Rights, The Law Enforcement Family, Ethics of Chaplains & Law Enforcement, Confidentiality, Stress/Burnout/Compassion Fatigue, and PTSD. Training is ongoing for all Law Enforcement Chaplains serving the needs of officers, deputies and troopers throughout the state of Wyoming.
