Camp Emmanuel 2018
Metropolis Youth Camp

Each year Holy Apostles youth and many others from throughout the Metropolis attend Camp Emmanuel which offers participants an opportunity to retreat away from everyday life and to gain experience in a nurturing Orthodox Christian community.  Camp Emmanuel utilizes the Manzano Mountain Retreat facility in Torreon, New Mexico, outside of Albuquerque.

Camp Emmanuel offers two, one-week sessions each summer: one Junior Session and one Senior Session.  The Junior session is for young people ages 11-14 years, and the Senior Session for ages 15-18 years. 

The usual camp schedule consists of the following activities:

Breakfast Bar & Running Club Chapel
Alone time with God, Breakfast
Faith Sessions, Group Game
Cabin trip, cabin decoration & cabin skit, Photo Scavenger The Daily Word & Discussion by combined cabins Afternoon Activities, #1 (pavilion, confession, pool or gym) Afternoon Activities, #2 (pavilion, confession, pool or gym) Cabin Refresh
Music
Chapel
Dinner
Cabin Songs & Skits
Cabin trip
Evening Activity
Get ready for bed
Bunk & Bible, Sounding Board (Priests attend as scheduled) Lights out.
