Let's Bake Cookies!
December 01, 2021

- HAOCC Bakers -

The FE Warren cookie drive provides homemade cookies over the holidays for airmen and women who are unable to go home for the holidays due to duty commitments and their requirement to remain in the dormitories. There are over 700 military personnel living in the barracks. Also, plates of cookies are delivered to the missile silos on Christmas Day. This very meaningful initiative is a small way of showing our concern for these young professionals who will be far away from their families.

Everyone is invited to participate and contribute. You may bake any kind of cookies, and as many as you like. Place two dozen in each plastic bag, label with type of cookies, and bring to the church by December 1. For more information, please contact Jamie Pullos.

The HAOCCC Bakers of Holy Apostles in Cheyenne, Wyoming are responsible for providing the 'offering' bread for all Divine Liturgies, as well as for providing kolyva for memorial services, the fanouropita cakes, the breads utilized for the service of the 'blessing of the five loaves,' along with many other items offered during the liturgical life of the parish. Periodically throughout the year classes are offered in order to educate and teach members of the parish and community these prayerful recipes.
